Return & Refund Policy

Effective Date: October 2026

1. 30-Day Return Window

We stand behind the quality of our academic regalia and ceremonial garments. You have 30 calendar days from the date of carrier delivery to initiate a return for a refund.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for a refund, returned items must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Garments must be unworn, unwashed, and free from perfume, makeup, or ceremony odors.
  • Original hangtags and product packaging must remain attached and intact.
  • A valid proof of purchase (order number or email address used at checkout) must be provided.

3. Restocking Fees

We charge $0.00 in restocking fees. You will never be penalized or assessed a percentage fee for returning an eligible garment.

4. Return Shipping Responsibility

  • Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: If you receive an item with a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or if the wrong size/style was shipped, SIGMA CUM LAUDE LLC will cover 100% of return shipping costs and provide a prepaid return label via email.
  • Customer Remorse / Sizing Exchanges: For elective returns (e.g. customer ordered incorrect size or changed mind), the customer is responsible for standard return postage back to our Missouri facility. We recommend utilizing a trackable service (USPS or FedEx).

5. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email our support team at business@sigmacumlaude.com with your Order Number and item(s) you wish to return.
  2. Our customer service team will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and return instructions within 24 hours.
  3. Securely package the item in its original bag/box and mail it to our verified facility:

6. Refund Processing Timeline

Upon physical arrival at our inspection facility, returns are evaluated within 2 business days. Approved refunds are credited directly back to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, or PayPal) within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your card issuer's processing schedule.

7. Exchanges

If you need an alternate gown height, cap size, or hood discipline color for an upcoming ceremony, the fastest path is to initiate a return for your current garment and simultaneously place a new order on our website.
